Hi there! I’m Alexis.

I’m a certified personal trainer who specializes in working with women, particularly moms, who are looking for an inclusive, sustainable approach to fitness. I have a passion for the pelvic floor (yes, really!) and teaching moms how to exercise in a smart, strategic way that supports the unique challenges of this stage in our lives.

I believe that fitness is for EVERY body and love working with women who might not feel comfortable in a traditional gym setting. As a former high school band geek who felt awkward and deeply insecure at the gym (and therefore didn’t go!) my number one priority is to create an environment where you feel safe, supported, and listened to.

Rates and Location

Sessions take place at my home studio in Farragut, TN. Billing is done on a per-month basis, and prices range from $199 to $499 per month for one-on-one sessions, depending on how often you want to train. I also offer semi-private training (up to three clients per session) on a more limited schedule from $199 to $329 per month.

Babies and kids are welcome to come with you to your workout! They have their very own room with a changing table for the little ones, toys and books for the toddler and preschool set, a TV with kids’ shows on Netflix — all within your line of sight while you work out. The workout area opens right up to the kids’ room (with an optional gate for especially rowdy days), so your kids are entertained while you sweat. Non-mobile babies are also welcome to chill in their stroller, car seat, or on a blanket right next to you while you work out.

Areas of Expertise

Prenatal fitness

Working out during pregnancy can help give you more energy and help prepare you for labor, birth, and your postpartum recovery. We focus on breathing and your pelvic floor and on building strength in a way that supports your changing body with workouts specifically designed for prenatal women.

diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor concerns

I myself have pelvic organ prolapse. I’ve also done a wide variety of continuing education on all things related to postpartum conditions. I understand on both a personal and professional level how it feels to live with these invisible issues that have such a huge impact on your life. Exercising without leaking or having prolapse symptoms IS possible, and I believe we can work together to get there.

Postpartum fitness

Many women are “cleared” to return to exercise at their 6-week checkup, but what does that even mean? I help my clients reconnect to their core, rebuild strength, and return to activities they enjoy in a safe, progressive, pelvic-floor friendly way.

strength training for beginners

Never touched a barbell in your life? That’s fine! Many of my clients have absolutely no experience with strength training. There is no baseline of fitness that you need to achieve before working with a personal trainer; we start right where you are. I will teach you everything you need to know to lift safely, coach you through all movements to help you feel confident, and cheer like crazy every step of the way!

post rehab/physical therapy

After an injury or being discharged from physical therapy, many women aren’t quite sure where to turn. You want to keep making progress, but you also might be nervous to do it alone. We work together to navigate the physical and mental considerations and help you move forward!

Habits-based lifestyle changes

Fat loss is possible without deprivation or extreme diets. By focusing on small changes, one step at a time, it’s possible to achieve your goals without feeling hangry ALL THE TIME. I don’t have a 21-day plan or a six week total body transformation for you — these may work, in the short term, but they’re not sustainable. Instead, I want to help you identify and build habits that will support you even in times of stress, rather than feeling like you’ve fallen off the wagon. There is no wagon.

Alexis has been encouraging and helpful. She has educated and guided me on what are good and safe ways to lift and be thoughtful about my pelvic floor.
